Many people interested in spiritual and personal growth are drawn to the Buddhist concepts of increasing awareness, and embracing non-competitive thinking, as ideals. While both these issues are important, therepeutic energy healing approaches human growth with the transformation of four equally important emotional body skills:

♦ Psycho-emotional Tracking

♦ Impact of events on our external relationships with others, as well as the internal connection to our self

♦ Approaching “problems” as opportunities for increased personal growth

♦ The application of will towards deepening connections and by doing so, transforming the self from potential into manifested growth

Psycho-emotional tracking refers to feeling and observational skills that can first name an inner or outer event (such as “I am frightened to make a mistake”), and which allows us to share our tracking with others. When what we observe, and what we feel, are reflected in relationship, the individual effectively activates their astral or emotional body. We become fully human through our emotional body becoming activated and energized in relationships to others, and to self.

Events that evoke relational energetics are the fuel source for personal transformation. We do not grow or transform only by isolating ourselves in meditation retreats, but by becoming aware of emotional flows and thought-forms interacting with us at both conscious and non-conscious levels. It is our interactions and relationships with others that deserve our full attention, and out of which grows an increasing inner richness of self awareness.

When attention is overly focussed on the self, the typical woundings and challenges to the self identity that we often take on for ourselves, makes problems in our lives that appear to us as avoidable suffering. But we can change our problems into invitations or explorations of emotional material that is looking to interact with us, or flow through us. That very shift, of engaging with the “problem” as a chance to develop feeling in ourselves, and to witness feelings flowing in others, builds the emotional body. In contrast, defensively evaluating emotional challenges through the eyes of our inner child only deepens the protective shell: emotional defenses against suffering. In truth, so-called human suffering creates the emotional body itself, and actualizes our true potential as empowered sentient beings.

An empowered sentient being is able to move through tracking and into engagement with both outer and inner relationship events, embracing the human journey and choosing personal growth over defensive patterns in their lives. Problems turn into growth challenges, and lead the potential and creative individual towards initiations into enhanced consciousness. This journey builds personal will, and brings the individual into a deepening connection with forces greater than himself or herself. Once this process matures past a certain point, your astral or emotional body actively generates opportunity and events that heal: self, and others.

The transformation of the astral body is the underlying foundation of astral energy healing. Rather than emphasize the defense of younger identifications of our personality, we move ourselves (and our clients) into the transformation process itself, and use well-established maps of this territory to navigate the journey. Emphasis is placed upon change that activates our potential, rather than the protection (or validation) of younger psycho-emotional aspects of the self.

This post is a part of the teaching material at the upcoming The Therapeutic Aspects of Astral Energy Healing, taught by Dean Ramsden in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, April 23-26. It will include practical energy healing skills to both interact with the astral body, and then to encourage the transformation of challenges into activated human potential. In this journey of emotional initiations likes our true birth into empowered sentience: we awaken to the powerful impact of our humanity, and learn to share it with others.

What does this viewpoint mean at the practical level? Isn’t all transformational healing the same?

There are significant workflow issues for addressing astral body development rather than other ways of practicing energy healing skills. The two main ones are:

♦ Devote the astral healing session to developing tracking, assessing emotional impact, transforming problems into solutions, and initiating individuated choice, in contrast to intuitive, unfolding, and spontaneous energy work. The healer holds the content of this article within their client workflow, and keeps the energy work flowing towards those particular ends. Where psychotherapy could be considered to help reveal inadequate adult adaptations from earlier in the client’s life, this approach assumes adult emotional function as already in place.

♦ If a client struggles to work within this workflow, and instead needs support to uncover early life issues, they can be referred to a psychotherapist or psychologist. But if the client is ready for deep and practical transformation, including the health of both their physical and emotional bodies, therapeutic astral body healing work can make a tremendous difference for them.

Dean Ramsden will be teaching a four-day practical seminar on The Therapeutic Astral energy Healing in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on April 23 – 26, 2017, as well as an Advanced Hands-on Clinical Skills seminar, taught with Yui Wang, on April 28 – May 1, 2017.
